Harris Preschool is licensed by the Department of Human Services Group Child Care Services. Classes are going on. Enrollment will be open until all spaces are filled. To schedule a tour, please call Chandary Davenport at 532-4175.

Mission Statement:

The mission of the Harris Preschool is to provide a sense of ohana (family) where children develop character, personal growth and wellness based on Christian values. The program provides quality early learning experiences for children with teachers who are sensitive to individual needs and who are able to provide guidance and appropriate support for each stage of the child’s development.

Core Values:

a.   We believe in a loving and caring relationship with our children, parents, and staff
      that exemplifies the love of God.
b.   The curriculum will integrate developmentally appropriate activities with religious
      development in the Christian faith to prepare the student with knowledge and skills
      for kindergarten.
c.   We care about providing an environment of support, encouragement and direction as
      we seek to grow in Christ through activities such as attending chapel and saying grace
      before meals.
d.   We value and accept diversity in our children and in our community.

Vision Statement:

The Harris Preschool will nurture a community of children, ages 2 to 5, by a committed staff in a stimulating environment guided by a developmentally appropriate curriculum and provide experiences that are alive with the love of God.

Program Information

Operating Hours:	Full day - 7:15am-5:30pm

Daily Schedule:	Morning Circle Small group & Center activities Snack Outdoor play Lunch Story time Nap Snack Indoor and outdoor activities

Tuition:	Toddlers (2-3 years) 10 children to 1 teacher and 1 aide $795 per month Preschool (3-5) 22 children to 1 teacher and 1 aide $695 per month

Food Service:	Snacks and lunch will be provided and is included in the tuition fees.

School Holidays:	State and Federal holidays, Good Friday, the Friday after Thanksgiving, two weeks at Christmas, one week for Spring Break and 3 professional days throughout the year to be announced with 30 days or more notice.

Curriculum:	Will be based on the Creative Curriculum by Teaching Strategies and will be supplemented with the Wonder Filled Curriculum, which integrates developmentally appropriate activities with Christian education.
